hey. I'm alive, and ok. Not great, but not terrible.
I'm too lazy to make this a nice long thoughtful piece of work, so I'll just make a list.
  • I'm getting an award tomorrow night. For what? I have no fuckin clue, I just know I have to go and get it I guess. Though I think it's for German, seeing as how I'm a "genius" at it. Whatever, I don't care.
  • I WAS going to get into the German national honor society, but because of Mrs.Winch I couldn't. I'm still majorly pissed, but mostly at myself because I'm not good enough for it anyway. Whatever, I mean you get to have a nice stuck up "breakfast." I mean, that's just peachy.
  • I bought high heels, kinda. I bought a pair of kitten heels really, but I was going to get a pair of high heel shoes that were comfortable as hell. But my mom said she didn't want to see me getting a concussion or something, so didn't buy it. I also bought two new shirts and some silk slacks, for the award ceremony.
  • I'm reading Eclipse, cause I'm trying to calm myself over finals and Germany.
  • Dear Germany, I'm coming in less than two weeks. Please make sure your hospitals are bilingual. k.thanx. :)
  • I'm in loveeeeee with Daniel Brühl. On Friday, we had our last German club meeting for this year. (last as the German club secretary. maybe) Anddddd we watched the Edukators. I loveeeee that movie. I'm going to buy it when we go to Germany and get the soundtrack, because the music was sooooo good. Though maybe stretching Jeff Buckley's Hallelujuah for the last 20 minutes might have been a bit to..... repetitive, but Gemini=LOVE. And Easy to Love by slut. :) yay. Oh yes and Daniel Brühl played Jan, and I loved himmmmmmm. :) (mainly because when I was reading Twilight, he was what my Edward looked like, only a bit younger and had more of Edward's features...... shuttup, I don't have a problem.)
  • I spent all of today making a solar hot dog cooker. I don't think it will even work, but I get extra credit for it. so yayyy, extra credit.
  • Friday was a bad day, for the most part. I got into a fight with my best friend. I was more of a clutz than usual. I fell down at least four times before 8 am. and after that I lost count. so honestly, bad day... OH AND I BROKE A TEST TUBE WHILE TRYING TO WEIGH IT. on a solid surface, using both hands, and paying attention. I had a constant headache all day. I fought with my parents. I didn't get to bake cookies for German club, like I said I would. SOMEONE used up all my shampoo and conditioner. Ugh, oh and my favorite pants got ripped. UGH.
  • I made a list of books I want to buy. :) And I might be buying three of them (
    • Wuthering Heights,
    • Pride and Prejudice
    •  Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street)
      I want to get:
    • Big Fish
    • Catcher in the Rye
    • The Host
So yeah, that's my life right now. I let you know what's going on sometime next week possibly. :)

The thing that I tell you now
It may not go over well
And it may not be photo-op
in the way that I spell it out

But you won't hear from the messenger,
don't wanna know bout something that you don't understand,
You got no fear of the underdog,
that's why you will not survive!

Good:
-I got an 81 on my Algebra Test! (Which is so much better that what I thought it would be.*cough*54*cough*)
-I have a 92 in Chemistry.
-The American Experience test that I thought was tomorrow is actually on Friday! :)
-I didn't do my English homework, and I got away with it. :)
-I can still play Starlight, and my fingers aren't bleeding! (I really thought they would, my fingers were so sore today!)
-I came back from school and doused my hair in my shampoo and my hair looks gorgeous! Also it relaxed me, and now I'm calm. :)
Bad:
-Daylight savings is a pointless ritual, and should be abolished. I looked like crap, I slept in this morning and I fell on my butt four times as I was "walking" to school. Which leads me to:
-My brother made me late in the morning. First, he stayed up late last night laughing because of Scrubs and I couldn't sleep. Secondly, he woke up late as usual and had to use the bathroom for thirty freakin' minutes. Thirdly, in his haste to make it to school on time, he dropped me off a few streets before my school, so I had to walk to CHS.
-I fell asleep in Algebra. (But really Mrs. Winch is as bad as anyone could hope to be, she talks on and on about stuff that makes no sense and I fell asleep for five minutes.)
Ugly:
-Test Friday, GAH.
-Quiz in Chemistry sometime this week. GAH
-I'm breaking out due to these tests and quizzes and everything, and it's not good!
-My fingers are sore from guitar playing. But it's worth it.

Anyway, I'm having a really crappy day due to this daylight savings crap and the snow is making me sad. I WANT THE SNOW TO MELT NOW! It looks disgusting now, because there's only so much snow that looks pure and fluffy, and not all black and grimy and toxic. And what's worse is that it's still like four feet high! Not fair, I want it to be gone. I want spring and then summer, so I can be in Germanyyyyy.
Also I have realized how much I love British accents. On the way back from school I was listening to the Abby Road sessions by Muse, and they have little recordings of their voices and such (Shut up, it's not sad) and honestly all of them have really hot, amazing voices. Mainly because they're so different and British accent-y. I love it!
So that is exactly why I will go to a college in London, and marry a British guy, because they have awesome accents that make me want to melt. Any questions?
Anyway, I'm done with my psychotic ramblings. :)

How have people pronounced your name? How is it supposed to sound?

<input ... > View other answers

My name has an I in the middle of it because my dad misspelled my name when I was born. (yes it's that sad) So I get an amazing number of ways it's said:
*Sheelly.
*Shyly
*Shayly.
*Shelby. (I mean honestly, from when has my name had a B in the middle of it?)
Though my favorite came from Mr. Pike, my US history teacher:
He goes up to a kid in the front row while doing attendance: "Hey you, am I seeing things or is there an "I" in the middle of this name?"
The kid nods.
I raise up my hand and say: "I'm here, and my mom and dad misspelled my name when I was born."
Mr. Pike: "You'll never let them get away with that, right?"
Me: "Pretty much."

It's supposed to be Shelly.
Without the "I".
